The Environment
Truestik flooring adhesives are for bonding carpets, carpet underlay, sheet vinyl, tiles, HP tile and plank for both Commercial and Residential products and applications. They offer completely VOC free installation. (VOC refers to Volatile organic compounds; essentially solvents). This means that installations in close proximity to site workers or occupants will not cause issues associated with odours or exposure to chemicals in vapour form. The odour associated with rooms after direct stick installations will not be apparent. (NB some carpets may still contribute to odour).
These adhesives do not contain solvents, added Ammonia or plasticisers and are good on the nose and lungs, your skin and the environment.
The pail size has been reduced to 15Lts to match international pail sizes and to help prevent injuries caused by carrying heavy pails around sites.
These adhesives have been developed in our New Zealand laboratory for NZ site conditions and our variable climate. These adhesives are based on the successful history of the Lockfast brand.
The Koolglide techdata is included here as this tool and tape for hot seaming carpets dramatically reduces that hotmelt odour. It cuts out that "burning plastic" odour that really pervades the worksite. The home or workplace is then a far cleaner and healthier place.
Bond Strength
Adhesives must primarily be strong and permanent bonding. It is not enough to be friendly to the environment. They must fully and permanently bond top coverings to eliminate any risk of come-backs. We have coined the phrase "Locked Fast" based on our Lockfast brand.
Adhesives must develop strong tack during installation to aid the contractor to install floorcoverings successfully in most climate conditions.
